The system is praised for its low dose, patient comfort, 3.7 second scanning time and generation of 2X tomosynthesis resolution of standard 3D mammography systems.

Mammography is a medical imaging technique using low dose X-ray to visualise inside the breast. A mammogram is a test or exam used to detect or diagnose breast diseases.

Breast tomosynthesis, often referred to as 3D mammography, is a technology whereby multiple images are taken at different angles in order to create a 3D image. This allows for greater image clarity and resolution.

Preparation

On the day of the exam, refrain from wearing deodorant, talcum powder, lotions or perfume as these can give a misleading result.
