Our 1.5T Siemens MRI allows us to provide high-end prostate imaging.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to produce detailed images of the structures of the prostate gland. The main indication for MRI of the prostate is to assess the extent of prostate cancer and it can also be used to assess for infection, benign prostatic hyperplasia or congenital abnormalities. This scan allows for clearer and more detailed imaging of the prostate without the use of ionising radiation.

Prostate MRI scans are typically completed within 45 to 60 minutes.
Please bring your request form from your referring practitioner to your appointment.
Please remember to bring all previous X-rays and imaging reports with you to your appointment.
