MRI uses magnetism instead of x-rays to create images of the human body. This does not involve radiation and is therefore not associated with any long-term health effects. For this reason it is often a preferred test for children.
Some patients can feel claustrophobic when having an MRI examination. To reduce stress and to help patients feel comfortable during the test, Harbour Radiology utilises the leading SIEMENS Magnetom AERA MRI which has a short and quiet design with a wide bore to maximise patient comfort.
We aim to make our images and reports easily accessible to patients and their referring clinicians. Using our MEDINEXUS app or portal allows access to images and reports from anywhere in the world from most mobile devices.
