Vascular Ultrasound Services
A vascular ultrasound, or duplex study, is a non-invasive ultrasound method used to examine flow in the blood vessels of the body and look for blood clots. It can be used to evaluate arteries or veins in nearly any part of the body, including blood vessels in the neck, abdomen, arms and legs. As ultrasound uses high frequency soundwaves to image the human body there is no radiation involved.
At Harbour Radiology in North Sydney we have a new modern clinic that offers all vascular ultrasound services, including lower limb duplex ultrasound. Our highly trained sonographers will make sure you are comfortable throughout the examination. Female sonographers are available on request.
